Billy Van Rooy began his hairdressing career at the age of 25 after working as a software developer for 9 years. His love of art, architecture, and hair finally led him to abandon the technology industry and follow his artistic heart. After attending the Vidal Sassoon Academy, Billy completed his training at Kenneth George and luxelab in Santa Monica. He has been educating the talented students at luxelab since 2009.
Billy is a practicing Hindu and integrates the principles of Raja Yoga into his approach to cutting and coloring hair. He believes a healthy body and a centered mind is the shortest route to a perfect haircut.
