Born and raised in Kaneohe, Oahu, Orlando Ortega brings island ease with big-city edge to everything he does. A Vidal Sassoon–trained stylist who began his career assisting celebrity hairstylist Allen Edwards, Orlando has been behind the chair since 2006—and loving every minute of it.

He later worked under Jason Lara and David Abrams, where he learned the ins and outs of owning and operating a hair salon—from leadership and culture to building a brand and creating an environment where artists (and clients) thrive.

Creativity has always been second nature. Orlando was a trained dancer for over 10 years (ballet, jazz, hip-hop, modern—you name it) and even appeared on Star Search at 18. That movement, rhythm, and discipline show up today in his approach to hair: intentional, effortless-looking, and always confident.

He specializes in cut, color, and male grooming, working with clients who are chill, trusting, and ready to let him do his thing. Orlando’s philosophy is simple: beauty has no rules. The goal is to look like you didn’t try—even if it took hours (or days) to get there.

A natural Gemini, Orlando believes confidence is the real luxury. He’s a leader who believes deeply in people, inspiring them to push past failure, stay flexible, and keep going when things don’t go as planned. Success isn’t a straight line—and he’s living proof.
